Comment: Numbers don’t lie – not even with regard to Hannover 96
Numbers don’t lie. Three 96 coaches are involved in the second division year 2021: Kenan Kocak, Jan Zimmermann and Christoph Dabrowski. You scored 45 points in 39 games, making 1.15 points per game. Extrapolated to a complete season with 34 match days, that’s 39 points. A record that would barely be enough to stay in the league.

96 is currently in 15th place with 20 points from 18 games. Coach Zimmermann has 14 of these in 15 games, his successor Dabrowski six points in three games. The trend was positive after the coaching change with two wins, the 1: 4 home defeat against Bremen at the end of the year shown: The team may not be as bad as it was last under Zimmermann – but also not as good as some after that Had hoped for a 1-0 lucky win against Hamburger SV.
The cartridge coach change fired 96, but it doesn’t have to be the last. And that’s why manager Marcus Mann is looking for new players. Problem: They have to work immediately and must not cost anything.
Should man find at least one center forward who shoots 96 for fame and honor to secure relegation, he would have earned his promotion to managing director. A goalscorer is needed because 96 scored 14 goals in 18 games – only the bottom of the table Ingolstadt is just as bad. Numbers don’t lie.
