“Novidades na Cidade”: NiT show on CNN Portugal breaks record for audiences
On Christmas Day, the lifestyle magazine was seen by over 81,000 viewers.
NiT’s program on CNN Portugal, “New in Town” – which was broadcast on TVI24 for more than a year -, broke the record for audiences. According to data from CAEM / GFK, the last episode was seen by 81,245,000 people, which corresponds to a 2.65 percent share. It was broadcast on Saturday morning, Christmas Day, December 25, starting at 11:37 am.
The episode was repeated in the early hours of Sunday and was seen by more than 16,900 people, which equates to one percent participation. In addition, a NiT special report that ran on “Jornal das 8” on TVI on Saturday night had more than 20 percent share, with an average of one million viewers.
This lifestyle magazine is presented by journalist duo Filipa Tojal and Nelma Tavares, who are accompanied in special reports by Marcos Pinto and Sara Ribeiro. Videos for each of the segments are available on the platform NiTV and on NiT’s social networks, YouTube and Instagram.
In the new version of the format – designed for CNN Portugal -, all suggestions are accompanied by a QR code so that viewers can open the respective links directly on the NiT website. In this way, you can even follow a GPS map on your mobile phone that takes you to the destination you just saw on TV.
