Novgorod University summed up the first results of the project “Open Russian Language”
Participants who successfully completed the educational program were awarded certificates. A free online course for foreigners who want to speak Russian was developed and launched by Novgorod teachers. The project was launched with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education. The program includes 55 thematic blocks – an excursion to Russian classical literature, grammar, words that will be useful in everyday life. The project was attended by residents of 92 countries – France, Greece, USA, Tajikistan, Mongolia and others. Foreigners living in Russia also joined it.
“Schoolchildren, adults, the opportunity to become participants, there were no claims either to the age qualification or to the level of education. The target group among those who were on the territory of the Russian Federation, of course, were foreign students of NovSU – first of all, medical students. and even those Chinese students who came to us to study in the medical field even tried their hand, ”says Inna Andreyanova, head of the competence development department of NovSU.
Some of the project participants need Russian in their future careers. So, a student of NovSU, the future surgeon Rukhshona, came to our city from Tajikistan. He has been studying Russian since childhood and continues to this day.
“Russian is our second language in Tajikistan, almost everyone knows it, everyone speaks it, and the bias of all our schools is in Russian. He has already helped, he is already with me, I am studying, I want to stay here in the future, and, naturally, I don’t want to leave, ”says student Rukhshona Ruknitdinova.
Students who have successfully mastered the programs and passed the test receive a certificate of proficiency in Russian A-2 – this is the basic level. With this you can apply for Russian citizenship. We would like to add that everyone can complete the training absolutely free of charge – on the website of the Open Russian Language project.
