Genoa, with the rain some bulkheads collapse in the courthouse. Discomfort and alarm
To give were the barriers to adapt the classrooms to the air conditioning systems and modifications to prevent Covid
Genoa – Discomforts yesterday morning at the courthouse. Where due to the intense rain of these days they gave way and collapsed some bulkheads that had been built to adapt the classrooms to the air conditioning systems and modifications to prevent Covid. The main problems were recorded above all on the fourth floor, in the classrooms next to the tensile structure where the trial for the Morandi collapse is held and which are reserved in the morning for the hearings of the work section. According to what has been reconstructed from the 19th century, some puddles have also formed in the classrooms, which have slowed down the process, and others are at risk for future consequences if there is no urgent intervention.
The heads of the court have immediately the Ministry of Justice alerted of what happened and an urgent intervention is foreseen to remotely face the inconvenience and restore a safety situation. The classrooms on the fourth and third floors, after the outbreak of the pandemic, had been the subject of a long restyling imposed by the ASL 3 itself, which had carried out various inspections inside.
Inside the same classrooms there was no air recirculation and on the basis of the various anti-Covid provisions they were considered unfit for use. Because of this most of the processes it had been transferred to other locations such as the Cotton warehouses, the Seminary, the Hotel for the poor and the Sea Fair. The work inside the classrooms at the center of the problems had been completed for about four months. And no one could see that the bulkheads built to insert the air conditioning systems would yield in such a short time.
