Booster tourists in Germany: ‘It takes too long in the Netherlands’
Today, many Dutch people were queuing for a booster shot at a vaccination location in the German city of Aachen. They accounted for about half of the 500 shots administered at this location, despite the GGD’s advice not to go abroad for a booster.
The health department advises against it, because organizations from other EU countries cannot be registered in the CoronaCheck app.
The Dutch present in Aachen say they will get them extra in particular to be able to go on winter sports in Austria. According to them, it is quite easy: “You have to go in, show your passport and fill in a form. And then you can actually get that thing for free and for nothing,” says one of them.
“It takes a long time in the Netherlands, so this was actually the best solution,” says someone else who got his shot from the eastern neighbors today. If you, as a Dutchman, want to go on winter sports in Austria, it has been mandatory since last week to have had a booster vaccination. Without booster application a mandatory quarantine of ten days.
