A “new” CovidCheck with new functions
The CovidCheck.lu application has been adapted, the government said on Monday, following the entry into force of the 2G + regime. For the record, people vaccinated or cured who have not yet received their booster dose must now add a rapid test at the entrance of bars and restaurants.
Now, when opening the Controlling People app, activate one of the app’s four features: travel, 3G, 2G and 2G +. When scanning a CovidCheck certificate, the application displays a green screen if the vaccination certificate presented is valid and certifies the administration of a booster dose, an orange screen if the certificate presented does not contain a booster dose or a red screen if the certificate presented is not authentic, valid or if it is a simple test certificate.
In the event of an orange screen, the person must present a negative test result from an antigenic self-test carried out on site or a valid test certificate (PCR test or certified self-test). To check the validity of the test certificate presented, the 3G functionality of the CovidCheck.lu application must be selected.
Users who have not enabled the automatic app update feature on their phone can access the new version of the CovidCheck app by visiting the store from check-out. It is also recommended to synchronize the application with the national system by going to the application settings and then click on “Synchronize with the national system”, the statement said.
