Province of Luxembourg: cinemas will make their voices heard this Sunday and Wednesday
Since Sunday, December 26, cinemas and other places of culture are closed until further notice. So decided the last Codeco. A decision which annoys the actors of the cultural world, because incomprehensible and unfair element.
This Sunday in Brussels, a demonstration of cultural players will take place. In the province of Luxembourg too, voices want to be heard.
There is the Bertrix cultural center, which has decided to maintain shows planned for this Sunday at all costs.
We also learn that a protest movement will take place this Sunday afternoon in Habay in front of the Cinema “Le Foyer”. We will come back to this in the afternoon.
We also learn that a punching action, which will bring together various managers of cinemas in the province (Virton, Habay, Bastogne, Arlon…) will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 am at the Ciné-Espace d’Arlon. This action is coordinated by Benoît Puissant, who also wishes to invite other representatives of the cultural sector and perhaps politicians. “This action will take place the day after the meeting between the cultural sector and the minister,” he said. “We believe that in Luxembourg too, the actors of the cultural world have the right to be heard, even if for the moment, in our province, the reactions are still timid”.
