On the night of December 25, the art group “Re: Wansh” staged a light show on the building of the US Embassy in Moscow. They displayed on the USSR flag in memory of its collapse. The video is published on Youtube-channel of the art group.

The description of the video contains the words of the members of the association. “On December 25, 1991, the red flag of the USSR was lowered over the Senate Palace of the Moscow Kremlin. We considered it symbolic 30 years after this event to re-raise the flag of a superpower in the form of a light projection. As a symbol of the revival of Greater Russia, ”the message says.

It is noted that in this way the art group “congratulated Uncle Sam (personified image of the United States – approx. “Lenta.ru”) Merry Christmas ”and recalled that a rival superpower disintegrated 30 years ago. “But there will be no more gifts: Greater Russia is being reborn and defending its interests,” added Re: Wansh.

Earlier, the first and only president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, named one way that could save the USSR after the August 1991 coup. The politician stated that it was possible to save the country by creating the Union of Sovereign States.

The Soviet Union collapsed after December 1991, the Belovezhsky agreements by the leaders of the RSFSR, the Ukrainian and Byelorussian SSR, divided a single state. During these events, Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev gave up the fight and was removed from power.
