30 people evacuated after fire in apartment in Oslo – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country
Around 30 people have evacuated themselves from the nine-storey apartment block in Tokerudberget on Stovner in Oslo.
– There is a fire in a basement apartment in the block and the fire brigade has no control over the fire. We have tried to get in touch with a person who will live in the apartment, but have not succeeded yet, says operations manager Line Scott in the Oslo police district to NTB.
According to Scott, the smoke should be straight up. There should be a lot of smoke in the area.
The Oslo fire brigade reports that they have nine cars on site.
At present, there is one person who has inhaled smoke and who is cared for by health personnel.
The police were notified of the fire immediately after one o’clock on Saturday night.
