The autumn session of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova has ended
The president of the Action and Solidarity Party faction, Mihail Popșoi, thanked his colleagues, especially for their work in the faction. “Only in discussions do we reach the necessary compromises and we have the certainty that we are not moving in the right direction. As long as we have the certainty that we are each in good faith, we will be able to do beautiful things that will last over time, for which our citizens have chosen us “, said Mihail Popşoi, Vice President of the Parliament.
According to him, and in this complicated time, many good things have been done. “We have significantly increased pensions and social benefits, in many cases by 60%. We have increased agricultural subsidies by 50%. We have budgeted a record amount for infrastructure, roads, sewerage, street lighting – which is what so many of our countries lack. We have taken the country out of the darkness of international isolation, where our country has been too long. And all this we have accomplished despite a year of pandemic, economic and gas crisis. And if this year was a year of crises, next year will be a year of reforms and this year we will have to work hard for a long time “, Mihail Popșoi mentioned.
The vice-president of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, Corneliu Furculiță, mentioned that, “if there was a special prize for the most” anti-social “Parliament, then the current majority would have climbed the pedestal, taking first place”. “In just a few months, most of the PAS in the legislature has raised the retirement age for women and men to 63 years. In just a few days, many Moldovans would have already retired and would have benefited from this social payment that they deserved by working for decades and paying into the social fund “, the parliamentarian remarked.
BCS accuses the parliamentarian of rejecting many good initiatives proposed by the opposition, claiming that there is no money in the budget. This, while the government has found money to increase the salaries of deputies, ministers and the president. “Dear PAS deputies, last year you said that the budgets were approved, at night, like thieves, dividing the public money. And this year you adopted the midnight budgets. It’s just that there’s a big difference between how we did it and how you did it. When we were the new government, we accepted most of the proposals to the opposition state budget of the opposition deputy. You have now not accepted any opposition proposal, although I did not ask for money for the repair of schools, kindergartens, hospitals, money for road repairs, street lighting and other projects expected by the citizens of this country “, said Corneliu Furculiță.
Parliament meets in two ordinary sessions a year. The spring session starts in February and cannot be later than the end of July. The autumn session starts in the month and cannot exceed the end of December.
