Vaccination lottery
2,037,760 Austrians took part in our ORF vaccination lottery. Everyone who was vaccinated could take part until Monday. The winner of the main prize, an Elk prefabricated house, goes to a schoolgirl from Wals-Siezenheim.
18 years old and homeowner! A schoolgirl from Wals-Siezenheim (Flachgau) was vaccinated three times and was given a house worth 500,000 euros. “At first I thought it was a joke, I was very skeptical and then I started to tremble and didn’t even know what was going on – it was really amazing,” says Sarah Kaffka, the winner of the ORF- Vaccination lottery.
The Flachgau native wants to become a nurse and is attending the final class of the Salzburg Caritas School. Many of her school colleagues are also vaccinated: “I think that’s a social responsibility and it’s something important,” said Kaffka.
“Sarah was the first in the family to be vaccinated”
“Sarah was the first in our family to be vaccinated and she convinced all of us to go vaccinating. And that’s why I think it’s so great that she won it, ”says her sister Sandra Goster happily.
The voucher for the prefabricated house will probably be kept for a few years now, says Thomas Scheriau, the managing director of Elk-Fertighaus: “It’s like putting it in the safe today, it’s in there for that long. And when Sarah then has a piece of land where we are happy to help, of course, it will be built. “
