He fought at UFC Prague! Now it ends after a severe punishment
UFC veteran Michel Prazeres, who presented himself at the UFC tournament in Prague, received a four-year sentence from the United States Anti-Doping Agency for canceling the UFC’s anti-doping policy for the second time. USADA officials announced it on Thursday.
Endless bad luck! The OKTAGON 30 tournament lost another battle
Prazeres, 40, tested positive for clomiphene and its metabolites (desethylclomifen, clomiphene M1 and clomiphene M2), oxandrolone metabolites and exogenous testosterone administration. Urine samples were taken from the Brazilian wrestler on August 27, 2021, September 16, 2021, October 15, 2021, and November 2, 2021. According to the USADA, specialized testing was performed on the Prazeres sample to detect banned substances, leading to severe punishment.
The Prazerese urine sample was analyzed using a specialized test known as the Carbon Isotope Ratio (CIR). He distinguishes between anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS) produced naturally by the body and banned anabolic substances of external origin. The CIR test confirmed the presence of testosterone or its compounds of external origin in the urea sample. “ said USADA officials.
Following UFC’s second anti-doping policy violation, Prazeres was granted a four-year ban, dated to his first test on August 27. That would mean he couldn’t fight until August 27, 2025. Prazeres finally decided to quit before waiting four years for another match.
In the past, Prazeres also presented himself at the UFC tournament in Prague, where he fought Ismail Naurdiev, to whom he lost points. The last time it took place was in June this year with the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov. The fight ended in the second round with the victory of a wrestler from Kazakhstan. Overall, he recorded a score of 10-4 against the UFC.
