traders will be able to benefit from an extra Sunday worked in 2022
After consultation with professionals in the sector, the town hall decided to authorize eight working Sundays during the year. Clearance sales are already planned at Croix-Rousse and on the Presqu’île.
Eight. This is the number of employees entitled to Lyon traders in 2022.
Reduced from twelve to seven by the municipality between 2020 and 2021 – to the chagrin of the opposition – this total is therefore revised upwards.
“We are very satisfied with this decision, rejoiced this Thursday Clément Chevallier, president of the My Presqu’île merchant association, at the microphone of BFM Lyon. We had a constructive dialogue with the city to say that ‘ on observation, for several years, we have managed to really mobilize traders on six or seven Sundays who operate during the year. “
“Carry out projects that make sense”
And to add: “We proposed to the city, constructively to be able to unblock one or two additional Sundays to be able to carry out projects which make sense”.
Among these projects, a clearance sale will be organized in the Croix-Rousse district, promises Clément Chevallier, and another on the Presqu’île. The latter, of which this will be the first edition, will be held on September 24 and 25, 2022.
