Analysts from the International Crisis Group (a non-governmental think tank) suggested that the United States, Europe and Russia, in connection with the “build-up” of Russian troops near Ukraine’s borders, carry out a “staged de-escalation” so that the parties could begin negotiations. It is reported by RT with reference to the report of the organization.
The experts noted that the first step is to conclude an agreement.
“An agreement to renounce hostilities that perceive the other side as particularly provocative,” the document says.
In the case of Russia, this will mean the withdrawal of the military contingent from the Ukrainian border, as well as the dismantling of infrastructure and equipment in the analyst region.
At the same time, they call on the West not to allow naval exercises in the Black and Baltic Seas, and also less on the entry of Ukraine and Georgia into NATO.
The organization expressed the opinion that such a measure would allow “provocative military exercises” and return to peace negotiations.
Recently in the Western media, as well as in Ukraine declare that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale invasion” of Ukraine.
In Russia, repetition was repeatedly rejected.
Previously reportedthat the US threatened Russia with “severe consequences” in the event of an attack on Ukraine.
