More than 1.5 million euros have been decided for the integration of long-term unemployed and people furthest from the labor market – s’Gwandtl in Lienz is also supported.
“The socio-economic enterprises in Tyrol have for years been important institutions for the permanent integration of long-term unemployed people with certain deficits in the labor market. People from the target group are trained in the context of activities in certain declared economic enterprises and are able to (re) enter the Prepared for working life ”, Provincial Councilor Beate Palfrader. “These companies work an annual average of around 300 transit workers with an integration rate of around 30 percent.”
The total costs of the socio-economic operations in Tyrol amount to around 20 million euros in 2022. The farm’s own economy is around 50 percent, which corresponds to ten million euros. The remaining financial requirements are distributed among the Tyrolean Employment Service, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the State of Tyrol and the municipalities.
The socio-economic companies funded include Ho & Ruck (Innsbruck), Itworks Personalservice Beratung GmbH, Naturwerkstatt Tirol (Imst, Landeck), OSPA Association for social East Tyrolean women’s projects for job seekers “s’Gwandtl” (Lienz), Startup Volkshilfe GmbH, SÖB Libelle (Innsbruck .)) and SÖB Werkbank (Wörgl), Association Issba – an initiative to strengthen personal, social and economic stability in the workplace (Imst, Reutte) as well as the association Wams -arbeiten as a springboard (Innsbruck).
Focus on sustainable services in socio-economic companies and non-profit employment projects
“The aim of the non-profit employment projects in Tyrol is also to support the long-term unemployed in reintegrating into the labor market. These companies work an average of 25 transit workers each year. An additional benefit is the fact that many of these projects, just as in the socio-economic companies, focus on sustainable services, such as bicycle repairs, second-hand goods or reusable tableware, ”said the regional labor market councilor.
The total cost of the GBP in 2022 will be around 2.4 million euros. The farm’s own management is around 58 percent, which corresponds to around 1.4 million euros. The remaining financial needs are distributed among the Tyrolean Employment Service, the State of Tyrol, the municipalities and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The state of Tyrol supports the Caritas of the Archdiocese of Salzburg, the Caritas shop St. Johann and Emmaus Innsbruck, an association for the support and accompaniment of homeless people.
In total, the Tyrolean provincial government decided on more than 1.5 million to support socio-economic companies and non-profit employment projects in 2022.
