It’s time to go ! Sciences Po Toulouse leaves his premises in the rue des Puits Creusés and goes to the Manufacture des Tabacs. At the origin of this move, a proposal from Toulouse 1 Capitole University. The University of Political Sciences will therefore take the place of the Toulouse School of Economics (IS) which now has a new building.

From the start of the January 2022 school year, students and teachers must have buildings A, B and D of the Manufacture des Tabacs. The establishment will then have 4.314 m² of floor space. With this in mind, an occupancy agreement has already been signed between UT1 Capitole and Sciences Po Toulouse in July 2015.

An aborted project on Quai Saint-Pierre

Before arriving at this signature, the course of this relocation was not linear. A project set up in 2014 provided for an installation on the Quai Saint-Pierre. Facing the Garonne, the premises also had a surface area of ​​over 4,000 m². But in July, the same year, the town hall of Toulouse had given a negative opinion to the building permit relating to this implantation.
