San Marino. Use of video terminals in the workplace, the regulation updated with a decree
The delegated decree which updates the legislation on the use of video terminals in the workplace has been adopted.
He announces it in a statement there state secretariat for health.
“A law that has been requiring adaptation for many years, in fact the first legislation that regulated theuse of video terminals in the workplace in the Republic of San Marino it was dated 1991 and had never been updated ”.
This is the comment with which the state secretary, Roberto Ciavatta, and the entire secretariat of state for health, particularly sensitive to the problems of workers in a shared commitment with the social and entrepreneurial forces, has received and updated the provisions in force for the use of video terminals in the workplace of the Republic of San Marino.
“The new regulations – continues Ciavatta – are the realization of this promise. We increase the obligations for the employer to assess the risk of their employees, we increase the penalties for companies that do not comply with the rules, we give new impetus to the computerization process by improving controls and providing new procedures on breaks. We want to give an unequivocal signal: no savings are made on the lives of workers “.
The technical and regulatory evolution and the forecasts expressed in law 31/1998 have long indicated the need for an update on the matter.
The text was preliminarily shared with the Secretariat of State for Labor and with the social, trade union and employers, to whom we thank for their contribution and suggestions to the legislative text.
The Health Secretariat has already announced to the social partners its intention to continue, together with the State Secretariat for Labor, the process of updating the legislation on safety and health in the workplace.
The intention is to adapt and at the same time simplify the existing legislation, repealing the old legislative texts and try to unify the new provisions by subject, so that they will be easier to consult and above all to standardize the San Marino legislation to EU and Italian standards. .
