New prefectural measures come into force in Annecy from 6 p.m.
The Haute-Savoie prefecture has just published a decree including various measures aimed at curbing the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Alcohol consumption in public spaces will be prohibited from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. as of Thursday, December 23, throughout the department, excluding Establishments receiving the public (ERP).
Active circulation of the virus on the eve of the end of the year holidays
The decree includes among others the positivity rate of the Haute-Savoie department on December 20, of 10.4%, or the 3e highest rate nationwide.
It also considers the incidence rate on this same date, which amounts to 837.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, located the department at 7e rang national.
In Annecy, Mayor François Astorg calls for caution on Christmas markets

The situation for the nine Christmas market sites (ERP)
The decree specifies as well as “The consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads, in public outdoor spaces, and in markets, including Christmas markets (excluding public buildings), is prohibited between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. “.
The city of Annecy goes like this roof sanitary pass checks at the entrance to refreshment and catering areas on all nine markets, categorized as ERP. The checks will be carried out by additional staff, made available by the service provider in charge of the contract this year.
The city is also continuing its communication campaign on respecting barrier gestures and wearing a mask outdoors in the city center, made compulsory by municipal decree on November 30 for the duration of the holidays.
