Five circus shows to see in Paris during the holidays
At the Cirque d’Hiver or in the Bois de Boulogne, under a big tent or in a theater, these incredible acrobatic and aesthetic creations promise festive and warm moments.
“Gaïa”, at the Cirque Phénix
Under the huge marquee of the Cirque Phénix, a brilliant show led by twenty-two acrobats from different countries (France, Hungary, Japan, Ethiopia, Argentina…) and an orchestra of ten musicians. Like the daughters of the mother-goddess Gaia, the artists brilliantly compose moving paintings, full of prowess (antipodism), aesthetics (aerial hoop), sparkle (unicycle), humor and freshness (clowning to ski), presented by the inimitable Calixte de Nigremont. To see with the family.

No more animals, except horses. On the program: hand to hand, Cyr wheel, hula hoop, aerial straps, Chinese shadows (poetic), juggling, duo skating (extraordinary), wheel of death… presented by Mr. Loyal, alias Michel Palmer. The flexibility, the balance, the address, the grace of the artists, coming from Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Ecuador… are highlighted by the orchestra, perched above the track. The magic operates, as always!

“The nomads are coming! », At the Romanès Tzigane Circus
People come to the Romanès circus as they go to old acquaintances, with the certainty of being well received. Alexander, at the head of the tribe of nomadic artists, plays the masters of ceremonies with relaxation and mischief, saddened by the prejudices vis-à-vis his family, the Gypsies. Under the small marquee, musicians and circus artists share the track. The numbers follow one another to the frantic rhythm of the music: trapeze, thread, juggling with hats and balloons, ballet of flaming strings… It’s a party, out of time.
