BISON FUTÉ: RED Flag in Burgundy for this Christmas weekend
The period from Thursday December 23 to Sunday December 26, including Christmas Day, will take place with many trips to go to the mountains or to join family or friends. Flag RED in Bourgogne.
Traffic will be heavy during this Christmas period, particularly towards the ski resorts of Franche-Comté via the A39 but also from the Alps towards Haute Savoie via the A40. This Friday, December 24 will also be the start of school holidays in Belgium and the Netherlands. Tourists who will cross Burgundy on the A5 and A31 towards Dijon.
Finally, during the last days before Christmas, traffic will be particularly dense near stores generally located in the city center or large shopping centers on the outskirts of large metropolises such as Dijon or Besançon.
The tip course
– Friday December 24, the combination of the many trips during the Christmas period, work-home trips and departures will make it difficult for traffic throughout Île-de-France from the end of the morning until the beginning of the evening.
– Saturday December 25 : Day classified as GREEN on a national level.
– Sunday December 26 is ranked ORANGE at the national level in the direction of departures. Dense traffic flows are expected on the main axes of the country and more particularly on the service axes of mountain resorts in Rhône-Alpes and in the Southern Alps.
In the direction of returns, flag ORANGE. Traffic difficulties are expected on the main axes joining the capital, in particular on the A6 motorways in Burgundy from Lyon to Paris via Macon and Beaune but also the A4, A10 and A86.
In Bourgogne / Sunday December 26
– A6: Paris – Beaune – Lyon: ORANGE from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
RED from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
– A39: Dijon – Bourg-en-Bresse towards the Haute Savoie ski resorts: ORANGE 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
