Driving in the wrong direction on the Toulouse ring road without giving a blessing is a real miracle. Doing so while being alcoholic is suicide.

This Wednesday, around 1 am, the police on the right bank noticed a suspicious vehicle near Colomiers. The driver zigzagged and did not brake his 4X4 despite the summons from the police. After a few incomprehensible minutes, the motorist finally stopped.

As officials checked his registration, a radio call informed them that a driver had been driving several miles backwards on the ring road. And the description of the car, a 4X4, corresponded precisely to that of the motorist who had just been checked … Visibly alcoholic, this 31-year-old man did not want to breathe in the breathalyzer. Another surprise: he was driving without a driving license (!). The authorities therefore did not drive to a hospital to take a blood test before taking them into custody.
