These supermarkets in Hanover are open
On Christmas Eve one can be done until noon. Then it’s over: on December 24th, the shops in Hanover close at 2 p.m. This is regulated by law. Most stores will be completely closed on December 25th and December 26th. But there are a few exceptions.
Lidl and Rossmann open
If you stand in front of an empty refrigerator on the holidays, you will find it at Lidl in the main train station. The branch is open on Christmas Eve from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on the Christmas holidays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In addition to a large range of drugstores, Rossmann in the main train station also sells groceries in its branch on the stairs to platform 12. It is open on December 24th from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The branch will open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on December 25 and 26.
Organic shops also open
Organic lovers will also get their money’s worth on the holidays. Denn’s organic market in the east hall of the main train station is open on Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The organic market is open on Christmas Day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Boxing Day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Betterlife health food store in the main train station also offers organic products. It is open on Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. On the Christmas holidays the shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Another shopping option is at Edeka Karakis at the airport on the holidays. The supermarket is open from 6.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 24th. On December 25th and 26th, customers can shop there between 6.30 a.m. and 8 p.m.
