Russia has increased the export of agricultural products by 20.8% since the beginning of the year
MOSCOW, Dec 22 – PRIME. Exports of agricultural products from Russia since the beginning of the year as of December 19 amounted to 34,179 billion dollars, which is 20.8% higher than the same date last year, according to the materials of the Federal Center for the Development of Export of Agricultural Products (FGBU “Agroexport”) at Ministry of Agriculture.

Export of grain from the Russian Federation increased by 10%, to 10 437 billion dollars, fish and seafood – by 28.4%, to 6.56 billion. Supplies of fat and oil increased by 48.9% to $ 6.723 billion, food products in the food and processing industry increased by 12.8%, to 4.589 billion, meat and dairy products – by 30.4%, to $ 1.441 billion.
The leading buyer of Russian agricultural products, the European Union, with a share of 13.1%, has increased imports since the beginning of the year by 40%, to $ 4.484 billion. Turkey is in second place: the country increased purchases by 38.1%, to 4,132 billion dollars, its share in the total volume of agricultural products from the Russian Federation amounted to 12.1%.
In third place is China: exports to this country decreased by 12.8% and currently amounts to $ 3.354 billion, the share in the total volume is 9.8%. The top 10 importers of Russian agricultural products also include South Korea, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The Russian government will consider a number of issues of agricultural development
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation expects that the export of agricultural products from Russia by the end of the year will amount to $ 35 billion. When calculating the indicators of the federal project “Export of agricultural products”, the Ministry, in addition to the data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS), uses the data of Rosstat on the export of fish and seafood outside the customs territory of the Russian Federation, as well as a number of goods.
According to the Federal Customs Service, the export of food products and agricultural raw materials from Russia in 2020 amounted to 29.585 billion, an increase of 19.1% over the previous year. According to Agroexport, the supply of agricultural products from the Russian Federation abroad in 2020 amounted to $ 30.556 billion.
