On Saturday 27 November 2021, the new party hall of Labège was inaugurated. The place took the name Claude Ducert space, according to that of the former mayor of the town “in reference to his initiative, in 2014, to create this new village hall, essential to living together in our town”, explains the current first elected, Laurent Cherubin, in a press release from the town hall.
The project was born in Labège following a consultation between elected officials, municipal agents, associative actors and users. Modular in design, the Claude Ducert space is composed of a large room of 550 m2 with a capacity of 600 people standing or 300 seated.
Events of different size
A drop-down partition allows the organization of shows and events of different dimensions and simultaneously. The welcoming places thus accommodate festive, associative or private events. Artists will find there a stage of 157 m2, two lodges and a home dedicated to them. The public will benefit from a specially equipped bar in the lobby.
A project for the city center
A project which attests to the “dynamism” of the territory according to Laurent Chérubin:
“The departmental council of Haute-Garonne, the Occitanie region and Adème have participated in its financing. It is part of a sustainable development perspective, notably with its geothermal heating system and its use of bio-based materials. “
An investment integrated into a larger city center development project. “Around the Claude Ducert space is woven a vitality of the heart of Labège which will soon be enriched by the Maison des Associations, the skate park and a room dedicated to young people », Notes the mayor of the town.
