Metrocittà Florence, ok with the budget: 453 million euros in investments
This morning the Metropolitan Council and Conference, on the proposal of Mayor Dario Nardella and after the illustration by Brenda Barnini, Metropolitan Deputy Mayor with responsibility for Budget and Personnel, have approved the forecast budget 2022-2024.
“Last year’s investment budgeted 208 million euros. The new three-year budget sees an increase in resources – explains the Metropolitan Mayor – providing for investments for a total of 453 million euros. Of these, 105 million for schools and schools; Approximately 91 million for road access and 92 million for territorial management; 4 million for the management of local public transport and 4 million for civil protection and forestry activities; 157 million euros are funds from the integrated regeneration plans urban, which will be engaged with an upcoming variation “.

The candidacy for the PINQUA national innovative program for the quality of living concerns the Mugello / Empolese / Valdarno / Valdisieve area for a total of € 45 million.
The super bike path Fi-Po is a candidate to be financed by the Pnrr for 30 million euros, in addition to 1.7 million euros of funds from the Metropolitan City for the design and 761 thousand euros as a residual portion of the financing of the Pact for Florence.
The reconnaissance commission is underway for the Firenze-Rosano cycle path (4.8 million euros) and the executive project will arrive by the end of 2021.
With regard to the suburbs call for proposals, residual resources of Euro 7.7 million have been registered in the three-year period (of which Euro 850,935.97 to cover the intervention of the Metropolitan City of Florence for the new Compiobbi-Vallina footbridge).
It is also necessary to add 1 million (from MIT) for cycling stations and cycling mobility.
Regarding traffic, the budget foresees investments for 91 million euros of which: 81.3 million in loans, 2.6 million in economic surplus and 7.1 million in re-enrollments.
44.4 million (transferred from the Ministry of Transport) are intended for the extraordinary maintenance of the road network and bridges and viaducts throughout the area of competence.
To these funds are added
Variant of Grassina Srt 222 15 million euros (with re-registrations, 5.8 million is added)
Regional roads 2 and 302 6.9 million euros (deriving from additional resources financed by the Tuscany Region)
therefore, 3.6 million interventions for roundabouts and sidewalks

The Metropolitan City of Florence has decided to finance the design and construction of 14 interventions between roundabout intersections (11) and sidewalks (3) over the three-year programming period 2022-2024, with an economic surplus of 4.5 million euros which the sidewalks in Quadalto in the Municipality of Palazzuolo and the roundabout in the hamlet of Mercatale in the Municipality of San Casciano.
With reference to re-registrations, the Metropolitan City is continuing the activities for the realization of the interventions in progress (such as the Variante di Grassina, see above) and the
road maintenance with Mit funds for 1.3 million
From other loan items (for a total of € 10.3 million),
4.3 million for SRT 429, of which 3.3 million for lots 4 and 6; 970 thousand for the fifth lot.
2 million are earmarked for the athletic sports center in Empoli
1.2 million for forestation interventions
Contributions amounting to 4 million euros will be allocated to Culture and the projects of cultural associations in 2022 (for the Maggio Musicale, Teatro della Toscana, Fondazione Strozzi, projects of cultural associations admitted by the calls)
In the 2022 budget, an overall status of the first three titles was generated (tax revenue, deriving revenue and current transfers, non-tax revenue flows, approximately 25.9 million euros compared to the 2021 axis, equal to -15, one hundred. tax revenues with 5.58 per cent; income from contributions and transfers with 28.42 per cent and non-tax revenues with 36.43 per cent. ‘offer, from production to global automobile production; in terms of demand due to the economic crisis linked to Covid 19.

The Democratic Party voted in favor of the budget, against the Center-Right for change and the Territories of common goods.
