Heimstaden sells properties to German Allianz for 7.7 billion – E24
Ivar Tollefsen-owned Heimstaden and Allianz Real Estate create a jointly owned company. It will manage a portfolio of properties in Malmö and Stockholm for DKK 29 billion.
Allianz Real Estate, part of the German giant group Allianz Group, is investing NOK 7.7 billion in Heimstaden’s Swedish real estate portfolio.
These are properties that Heimstaden announced the purchase of in September. It then became known that the Ivar Tollefsen-owned company spits out almost 91 billion kroner for over 28,000 homes in Berlin, Hamburg, Stockholm, Malmö and Copenhagen.
Allianz now buys 99 properties with homes located in Malmö and Stockholm, deter it in one press release.
Furthermore, Heimstaden and Allianz merge to form a joint venture which will manage the entire Swedish share of the above-mentioned real estate portfolio. It consists of 9,300 homes in Malmö and Stockholm with a total value of more than DKK 29 billion.

Has made Heimstaden a giant
When Heimstaden announced the purchase of 28,766 homes, it meant that the company’s housing stock was increased by almost a quarter.
Together, they will give Heimstaden almost NOK 2.8 billion in rental income each year.
Tollfsen has at a remarkable pace taken its companies from the Nordic countries to the world elite. In five years, he has more than tenfold the property values of the group he controls.
A key to explaining how Tollefsen has become one of the Nordic region’s largest property owners lies in the collaboration between Heimstaden and the Swedish pension giant Alecta.
The investment club that was set up, they eventually called Heimstaden Bostad. It is through this company that the large foreign investments are made.
