Christmas and New Year without gatherings, celebrations at home for no more than 10 people and above all, after the holidays, all sporting events will be without public. Meanwhile, the Bundesliga has already stopped for the winter break and will resume after the Epiphany.

The Omicron variant runs fast especially in Catalonia where the increase in cases was 100 percent in a few days. Immediate restrictions in Barcelona and its surroundings: curfews, limited number of house parties, cutting the capacity of public places, restaurants and gyms. The cancellation of New Year’s public holidays is also imminent. Still no restrictions announced for sporting events, La Liga is expected to restart on December 31st with Valencia-Espanyol, waiting to see the developments.

The Omicron variant is also alarming in France and therapies are exceeding 3000. Macron talks about a vaccination Green Pass, like our super Green Pass in effect since January. Still no announcement on the cancellation of outdoor events. Ligue 1 does not play until 7 January.

In Austria

Here the tight lockdown of three weeks has had its effects, and Austria has resumed thinking about Christmas, with markets and no restrictions for vaccinated people.
