Professionals help Salzburg children achieve a healthy lifestyle
A third of Salzburg’s children and adolescents between the ages of four and 14 are overweight. The Austrian Health Insurance Fund will change that with the easykids project. The Austrian Health Insurance Fund is investing four million euros in Salzburg to help young people achieve well-being and health.
“It always tastes so good,” says Valerie Raffler from Hof. Since taking part in the easykids health project run by the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK), she has been eating fewer portions, more vegetables and dairy products. “I don’t tolerate cow protein so well, it gives me a stomach ache,” says the eleven-year-old. Together with her mother, Valerie came to the middle school in Eugendorf for the first cooking evening of the Flachgau easykids group.
