Liberating tassery
Raphaël Chauvel is not the only one at the top of the bill after this suspenseful victory. Kevin Tassery, of whom Luc Chauvel did not hide that he expected a little more after the previous match, one registered the issue of deliverance in Provence. Eight seconds remained when he converted Jonathan Janil’s pass. The man with the devastating skate avoided an overtime that would have lost one or two points to the Drakkars. Caen is provisionally rising to second place in the standings.
Four points for Chamberland
The Caen people went through all the emotions in front of the 2000 spectators of the POMGE. They started by “chasing” after the score for twenty minutes following the goal of Maxim Makarov (7 ′). Félix Chamberland, author of a goal and three assists before spending Christmas in Florida, equalized in the second third (26 ′). The two teams then surrendered blow for blow, Colin Morillon giving back the advantage to his family (30 ′), immediately taken over by Raphaël Chauvel. And when the younger Chauvel allowed Caen to lead for the first time (42 ′), Lucas Chautant equalized seven minutes from the end (54 ′).
Luc Chauvel’s reaction
“It feels really good! We are having the biggest month of the start of the season taking ten points out of twelve in December with a large part of our executives injured. We finished on a very, very good note. It was the same tension. at the end of a decisive playoff match. We were decimated, we lost André (Ménard) at the start of the second third on a match penalty. I had eight U20s, everyone stood together and played their part .. The script was perfect. “
Well deserved vacation
It was finally Kévin Tassery who settled all this and allowed the Drakkars to obtain a precious victory before the holidays. The HCC can start from a light mind with ten victories, four of which after regulation time (with one point less) and three defeats. Caen will host Nantes on Saturday January 8, 2022.
