Innsbruck – A taxi driver in Innsbruck was on cocaine and under the simultaneous influence of THC on Sunday morning: and that with a passenger.
A civil patrol from the regional traffic department noticed the taxi at around 8:30 a.m. because the driver had ignored the yellow lights at the intersection of Hunoldstrasse in Innsbruck. The taxi was stopped and the driver, a 28-year-old Austrian, was checked. Clear symptoms of drug abuse were found in the man. According to the police, the drug test carried out showed a highly positive value for cocaine and THC.
The woman in the passenger compartment declined to order another taxi and continued on foot. The taxi driver was then presented to the medical officer on duty for a clinical examination, who determined that he was unfit to drive. The 28-year-old had to hand in his driver’s license on the spot. The notification to the responsible authorities follows. (TT.com)
