A Florence, capital of culture and art, begins T.ourismA 2021 – Exhibition of Archeology and Cultural Tourism. Lhe three-day demonstration, 17/19 December, got underway with the inauguration this morning. Ribbon cutting for it too stand of Sardinia and the Union of Municipalities of Trexenta, which was also attended by the Regional Tourism Councilor, Gianni Chessa.
“The Sardinia Region participates in these events on the national territory with great pride, and to give a clear and strong signal of its desire to enhance its history, in an authentic way – said l‘regional councilor for tourism, Gianni Chessa –. The territories of the interior must emerge through a unitary and collaborative work, attracting tourists interested in the discovery of tangible and intangible assets. I want to insist with two words that I have used since the beginning of my mandate as councilor, which are seasonal adjustment and networking. Seasonalising means promoting internal tourism, in the intermediate seasons, and therefore going beyond the concept of Sardinia-sea-coast. They are present here in Florence to promote their territory and this means networking, also because the first citizens are the best connoisseurs of the new municipalities: we have millenary stories to promote and many accredited tourist guides who can work on this. Archaeological tourism is therefore a great opportunity for Sardinia. “
«It is the third edition of Tourisma in which we participate as a Union of Municipalities of Trexenta – he added Paola Casula, president of the Union of Municipalities of Trexenta -. We do it with great joy and honor, especially after the pause caused by the closures due to the pandemic from Covid, because these events are opportunities for the beautiful and very important promotion of the territory. A territory, ours, rich and which is seeking heritage to redeem itself and make itself known in the world for its archaeological and cultural importance, both from the point of view of tangible and intangible assets. In fact, in addition to archaeological sites, churches and monuments, we must not forget the ancient naturalistic and environmental traditions and the innumerable traditions linked both to the sacred sphere and to the more pagan, but not least important, food and wine sphere and all festivals. and the events that have consolidated over the years, giving visitors experiences of sustainable tourism. Furthermore, very important news is that as a Union of Municipalities we are entrusting the management of sites of cultural and archaeological value to a single operator that can create a network between the various municipalities and can create a unique brand for the tourist offer. The presence of the Tourism Councilor Gianni Chessa this morning here among us mayors was an excellent sign of cohesive and unitary work and networking between the communities and the regional institution. “
