🇨🇭 Switzerland: Eurovision expert jury revealed
SRF has announced the twenty-three Eurovision expert jurors who have selected the Swiss representative for Eurovision 2022.
The Swiss broadcaster SRF has announced the names of the 23 jurors who formed the Eurovision expert jury for the Swiss selection. The jurors are made up of people who have participated in the competition either as singers, songwriters or members of a national jury.
The jurors are:
- Pete Watson – United Kingdom
- Mark De-Lisser – United Kingdom
- Henrik Johnson – Sweden
- Grzegorz Urban – Poland
- Argyro Christodoulides – Cyprus
- Amie Borgar – Finland
- Gore Melian – Armenia
- Ilinca – Represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017
- Ludmila Kuts – backing singer for Belarus in 2011
- Milan Havrda – Czech Republic
- Julian le Play – Austria
- Samuli Väänänen – Finland
- PAENDA – Represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019
- Florent Luyckx – Netherlands
- Karl-Ander Reismann – Estonia
- Ovidiu Jacobsen – Represented Romania at Eurovision 2010 & 2014
- Deivydas Zvonkus – Lithuania
- Anders Øhrstrøm – Denmark
- Helga Möller – represented Iceland at Eurovision 1986
- Tinkara Kovač – represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014
- Maria Marcus – Sweden
- Alexey Gross – Belarus
- Gordon Groothedde – Netherlands
Gjon’s Tears took third place for Switzerland at Eurovision 2021 with “Tout l’univers”, this is the best result the nation has achieved since third place in 1993. Switzerland won the jury vote in the final with 267 points and took the place 6th place among the audience with 165 points.

Switzerland hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956, a competition they won. Lys Assia won the first contest with the song “Refrain”, it wasn’t until 1988 that Switzerland won the contest again. At the contest in Dublin it was Celine Dion with “Ne partez pas sans moi” who won the United Kingdom by only 1 point. In 2021, Switzerland took 3rd place with Gjon’s Tears, which was the first top 3 in Switzerland since 1993.
