The University of Siena among the founding members of the ITS Prodigi Foundation
School, university, training agencies, trade associations, companies and municipalities together for high quality training aimed at creating higher technical figures with high technical and technological skills.
With this objective, the ITS Prodigi Foundation was born, the first ITS path in the ICT and digital area created in Tuscany. The Foundation was formed on Monday 13 December and was presented at the same time in the press conference held in the Sesa Auditorium in Empoli. In addition to the representatives of the institutions and organizations involved, the governor of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani, also spoke at the presentation.
Among the thirty founding members of Prodigi there is also the University of Siena, represented on the occasion by Professor Ada Fort, of the Department of Information Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. “The role of the University of Siena as a partner – explains the teacher – will be to support the Foundation in the provision of post-diploma courses in these sectors, in synergy with the local industries and with the aim of being included in the world of work “. The courses will last two or three years or three years. Part of the duration of the course will take place in the company.
