Initiated by the CIVB (Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux), the OTCBM (Bordeaux Métropole Tourism and Congress Office) and Vinexposium, the Bordeaux Wine Week will offer, in very diverse forms, a program that is both cultural and festive. , tourist, oenological, economic and scientific which promotes the richness of the terroirs of the wine planet and the environmental initiatives undertaken by the vineyards of France and elsewhere. Bordeaux Wine Week will offer them an exceptional platform for expression from 2022.
Thus, from Thursday 16 to Sunday 26 June 2022, the Bordeaux metropolis will vibrate to the rhythm of a rich program within emblematic places that make up its heritage. The day’s events will be embellished with iconic evenings after dark, such as those of the Jurade de Saint-Emilion and the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, to make the party complete.
Bordeaux Wine Week, a meeting place for epicureans and wine professionals, will be built on a blend combining business perspectives and pleasure for the senses. The program of the two pillar events will include:
- A new international highlight orchestrated by Vinexposium for professionals will give pride of place to French and foreign wines and spirits around two major events: The conference “Acting for change” on June 20 and 21at the City of Wine. This offers a series of conferences led by renowned international speakers on “Wine in 2030”. The revolutions linked to climate change will be considered from three angles: production, marketing and consumption.On June 22 and 23, the WOW! Meetings will bring together French and foreign professionals around new business meetings dedicated to organic wines and certified in an environmental approach.
- From June 23 to 26, BORDEAUX FÊTE LE VIN, organized by the OTCBM and the CIVB, comes back, and reinvents itself with the elements that made its success and great novelties. On the quays, you will find the open-air wine route organized in villages around the appellations, where you can taste the wines of Bordeaux and New Aquitaine with the winegrowers and merchants. Visitors will also benefit from a gourmet offer made mainly of local products and organic viticulture certified in an environmental approach.
The Feast will be livedalso in preview from Thursday June 16 in the Metropolis, in restaurants and wine merchants, to music in partner concert halls but also in festive spaces in a guinguette spirit, created for the occasion.
Particular attention was paid to eco-responsible approaches through the promotion of regional products, the selection of partners based on their environmental and social approach in particular. Bordeaux Fête le Vin is now ISO 20121 certified “responsible management system applied to event activity”, which attests to the event’s lasting commitment. - And also great cultural and oenological events that capture the interest of the general public as well as that of professionals:The original and exceptional exhibition “Picasso, the effervescence of forms” at the Cité du Vindès on April 15 and throughout Bordeaux Wine Week.
