ALL ANTWERP. “Two years ago I took over a healthy one” (Antwerp)
Every weekday our reporter and photographer pick a casual passer-by off the street for a nice conversation. Want everyone has a story. And certainly in Antwerp. Today: Sven Alofs (39).

“Two years ago I took over a healthy one. We focus on crossfit and functional training. I have not always been this sporty. Ten years ago I came into contact with this kind of sport. Crossfit was the first sport that could fully prepare me, I started working out four times a week. I was working for Microsoft at the time. So something completely different. At that time I was thinking: which way do I want to go with my life? And with that I had found something. That’s how I got into it. I followed various courses and retrained myself.”
“What do I love about crossfit? You exercise without using the equipment you find in a typical gym, but you use aspects of different sports to put together a fun, challenging workout.”
“When I took over Edge two years ago, it was a challenge for me to continue exercising myself. It was trying to find how I could plan my own sports agenda in my professional agenda, but now I succeed. I keep those moments free. That is important to me.”
“I myself provide both group training and personal training. I like the combination of that with entrepreneurship in itself. In the past two years I had to do a lot of business, I had to be very creative to keep people, to keep them mobile and not to go under as a company. But I think that entrepreneurship is really cool.”
