The investigation of the property damage unit of the police station Toulouse began in September 2021, after the arrest of two men, caught in the act of tagging SNCF wagons.
40,000 euros in damages
The two men had been placed in police custody, then released pending the complaint from SNCF and the determination of the amount of the damage. But police officers from the Property Attack Unit continued to work on the case.
Their investigation made it possible to identify tags committed by the two men on property belonging to the SNCF, but also on buildings of the municipality of Toulouse, Tisséo and Dirso, between January 2020 and December 2021. Other authors of tags are also identified and the damage caused by damage is estimated at 40,000 euros.
Set men and two women arrested
As part of this case, nine people, two women and seven men, were arrested Tuesday, December 14, 2021, including the two men who had already been arrested in September. They have all been taken into custody and searches were marked on their respective homes.
Summoned to justice
On the spot, the police found spray paint as paintings and drawings, with signatures corresponding to the tags thus produced on the buildings identified during the investigation.
Six of the people arrested in this case will be before the court in March to answer for their actions.
