Voilà, now the star cuisine is coming home – BZ Berlin
Ox & Klee from Cologne, Rittmeyers Restaurant No4 from Buxtehude or Hendrik Otto, formerly Adlon’s dining room from Berlin – at Voilà, gourmets across Germany can be fooled with cooking boxes. But The Good Taste also delivers fine foods for the holidays!
By Stefanie Hofeditz and Sylvia Jost
Both providers come from Berlin – while Voilà specializes in menus, The Good Taste delivers individual dishes and products. Both have one thing in common: the feast can be prepared at home in just a few simple steps. Does it taste like it does in a restaurant?
“Where Hendrik Otto is on the label, there is also Hendrik Otto in”, promises the Berlin two-star chef (47) from the Lorenz Adlon dining room in the famous hotel at the Brandenburg Gate.
In the Corona lockdown, he created the luxury line Stars in a Glass: Sauces and soups. These include lobster, prawns and fine Wagyu beef. Each glass is made by himself.
For Otto rents a large kitchen, where he and seven employees process 300 kilos of raw products by hand into 120 liters of soup per day. Just passing through the finest sieves takes six hours.
At Voliá there is the 3-course box (e.g. lobster and truffle menu with pasta and prawns) for 79 euros / 2 people. Or the individual glasses at The Good Taste, e.g. shrimp velvet soup for 20.50 euros.
