Toulouse: With stolen checks, the crook rented an apartment and a mobile home for his holidays
A 35-year-old woman was confused by police. With stolen checks, she defrauded the owners.
The owner of a Toulouse home has launched a procedure, from his region of origin, to report the unscrupulous actions of his new tenant. This 35-year-old woman had never paid her rent since July. But the story does not end there. The police from the general investigation unit of the Right Bank urban security looked into his case.
They soon determined that she had used two checks to pay her deposit and the rent. In order to offer her file, the latter had provided three payslips which turned out to be false. Placed in police custody on Monday, she explained that she had bought these documents via social networks and that she had found the checkbook in a lost bag. For the purposes of the investigation, a search was carried out in his home. Another checkbook, stolen during a burglary, was discovered. It was used to pay for the rental of a mobile home for his vacation last year.
She will have to respond to a court summons for forgery, use of forgery, concealment of theft and fraud.
