Russian President Vladimir Putin fulfilled the wish of 13-year-old schoolgirl Tatyana Trotsenko from Stavropol, who dreamed of getting to the Swan Lake at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. “Today, a schoolgirl from Izobilnoye, Tatiana Trotsenko, is going to the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg to stage the ballet Swan Lake. This dream of hers was fulfilled by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He took the ball with the girl’s wish in early December from the “Christmas tree of wishes”, ”the message says.
The press service of the theater clarified that the schoolgirls had a tour of the historical building of the Mariinsky, where the performance is taking place today, as well as the new building – Mariinsky-2. The girl looks at the ballet from the Special Lodge on the mezzanine.
It is noted that Tatiana is the eldest child in a large family. The girl graduated from a choreographic school, entered a music school, is fond of ballet. On the air of the Russia 1 TV channel, she admitted that she had never been to such a large theater and she “wanted to somehow get charged with the atmosphere”.
On December 5, Vladimir Putin announced that this year he will again take part in the Christmas tree of wishes charity event. During the awards ceremony for the winners of the We Are Together international award, the Russian leader took three postcards with children’s wishes from the Christmas tree via video link. Then, hearing about Tatyana’s desire to attend the Swan Lake ballet at the Mariinsky Theater, he said: “Consider that you are already on the road”.
