Prague 1: The police have proposed to charge over 30 people for selling apartments
“In the second half of November, a motion was filed against the police authority,” Jan Lelek, the supervising public prosecutor, told ČT. The case initially charged 36 people. According to the plaintiff, two died, four accused concluded a guilt and punishment agreement. According to Lelka, you still have to hear the court.
The investigation concerns the vote on the privatization of flats in the period from 2010 to 2018, when Lomecký was the mayor of Prague 1.. The case has now been dealt with by the police for the second time;
Damage over 30 million
In the original stopped prosecution police claimed that 23 flats were sold below the price with a total damage of over 41 million crowns, subsequently calculated the damage about nine million crowns lower.
According to the resolution, Prague 1 was to sell, for example, a 4 + kk apartment with an area of 143 square meters for 7.5 million crowns. However, the expert stated that the price should have been at least 3.9 million higher. Lomecký had previously told ČT that, according to him, this was bullying of deputies.
The server wrote that among the accused are, in addition to Lomecký, his deputy Daniel Hodek (ČSSD) and other deputies Filip Dvořák, Jaroslava Janderová or Jan Bürgermeister (all ODS). The accusation also concerned Jan Votoček (TOP 09) and Richard Bureš (ODS), and deputy Filip Kračman (TOP 09) is also being prosecuted.
The accused face one to five years in prison for negligent breach of duty in the administration of third-party property and obstruction of the official’s task.
