In a statement, the Toulouse Football Club apologized to the player, denounced the attitude of the supporter and promised a sanction. “The identification of the individual in question is in progress and the club will initiate all the necessary legal procedures”, ensures the text.
The incident occurred at the end of the match, when Rodez came to equalize (final score 1-1). Lionel Mpasi heard racist insults uttered by a supporter of the Brice-Taton stand, where the supporters are massed. This match ended the 18th day of Ligue 2.

Trained at PSG, Mpsasi, born in France and of Congolese origin, is 27 years old. Selected for the French team from U16 to U18, he has been working with Rodez since 2016 after having gone through the TFC reserve.
