South Sudan’s Ambassador to Ankara Majok Guandong made a statement for the 3rd Turkey-Africa summit to be held in Istanbul on 17-18 December.

Guandong, who stated that he was raised in Turkey due to being a young country from South Sudan, noted that South Sudanese bureaucrats study in Turkey.

Pointing to trade transitions between the two countries in 2017, Guandong said:

“We aim to visit Turkish business people to South Sudan a lot. Currently, there are 4 Turkish construction companies in the capital, Juba. It has obtained gold purchase licenses in 5 regions. economy and meeting with the South Sudanese at the Business Forum.”
