House prices will continue to rise in 2022 as a result of the disclosure and increased demand, pointed out real estate agency Imovendo.
“Prices went up in 2021 and will continue to go up in 2022”, assured Nélio Leão, CEO of the virtual real estate agency, explaining that “there is a slowdown in supply, due to the economic and pandemic situation, aggravated by the crisis in materials and hand. works, which put pressure on the price rise”.
Despite the current economic crisis, the real estate market promises to continue to have more demand than supply, as “despite the increase in expectations in 2022, as long as interest rates remain low and banks continue to grant credit, there will hardly be any more supply from the what you’re looking for”, guarantees Nélio Leão.
“Although at the end of 2022 it may feel some slowdown, depending on how the economy, families and companies react to the pandemic and the measures consecutively imposed”, says the CEO of Imovendo.
By region, Greater Lisbon continues to be the most sought after area, with 35% of properties sold, followed by the Metropolitan Area of Porto, with 17%. Types T2 and T3 account for almost 80% of the homes sold. In this matter, Nélio Leão also considers that: “Maybe at the end of next year we will be able to start to observe a decentralization of the market”.
