Waste prices in Prague could increase significantly with the new hurdle

Sugar Mizzy December 13, 2021

Praan now pays for waste collection according to the size of the container and the frequency of collection. This system is not the result of an amendment to the waste management and the city has to approve a new one by the end of the year.

After giving the monks the opportunity to set the price for waste and per crown per liter of the content of the vessel and the city, the new municipal decree proposes half of this. Now the price ranges between 25 and 74 halls per liter depending on the size and ethnicity of the collection.

The proposal was criticized by the opposition, according to the ODS, it will mean a sharp increase in prices for the province of Praan, especially on the communication, and the city also approves it late. Hlubuek said today that he did not agree with the amendment and tried to negotiate with the state so that, as before, the price of the collection, and therefore the real costs of the city, could be taken into account in the prices.

According to him, the new law also works with the fact that the hunter should only pay for the removal of as much garbage as he actually produces, without the inclusion of another factor.

The proposal, which should be approved by the deputies in January, will briefly increase the price of all containers with frequent collection, while the smallest ones will increase the price. Hlubuek added that after a rate of 50 halls per liter, the city arrived after long discussions.

If the fee was proposed differently, I would take it as an irresponsible budget, he said.

Even after the success, the master will replenish the costs

According to the city, the magistrate will add hundreds of millions of crowns to the waste collection system in the long run, but for five years the tax should fall from 600 to about 200 million crowns due to the change in prices. In addition to 1.5 billion crowns of fees, the city has another 200 million from the Eko-kom association, which provides weekly waste. The city wants to negotiate with us from outside these relations, Hlubuek added.

Hnd container

According to him, people will have the opportunity to learn, because hnd containers of biodegradable waste will be ordered free of charge. Given that this waste accounts for 30 and 40 percent of mixed waste, people can save it, according to Hlubuk, if they separate it and throw it out separately. He added that out of 90,000 invoiced addresses for the collection of now four trash cans, 15,000 and the city’s capacity to place them elsewhere.

According to Hlubuk, there are other people who do not now fall under the municipal collection system and have to arrange for their waste disposal. The bulk of their weekly waste will eventually end up in municipal containers, he said. According to him, the mayors did not push for the employees to fall under the municipal collection, which would mean more income for the self-employed. We definitely want to address them so that they can voluntarily join the system, he said.

Waste collection in Prague is provided by the city’s own Prask services and several private companies. The crack of the service, which is procured by about two-thirds of the metropolis, last year collected 257,754 tons of municipal waste, which was about a percent more. The amount of general waste in Prague has been growing for several years, compared to 2017 it increased by more than 7,500 tons last year.

ODS is against health, YES is preparing its own proposal

The ODS describes the increase in waste collection as an attempt to disguise the city’s poor economy. According to the ODS, the reason for the health of the services offered by the city is chaotic.

How else to explain ron otlen with a decree that will increase the price for waste collection in Prague. At the same time, none of these master coalitions have yet explained what the service provided to them after its success will bring a new one, said ODS 1st Deputy President Alexandra Udenija.

And the crack YES, who prepared his own proposal for Thursday, also drank criticism. About his song znn zatm jedn.

It gets worse at a time when Praan is exposed to great pressure, that is, increased fuel, energy and the like, said Ondej Prokop in Prague.

He added that the current management of the city is more expensive, for example, public transport tickets, water and stables, the rent of city apartments or walls on catchy P + R parks. If you look at any area, Prague is healthy, added MP Patrik Nacher.

Prokop added that the master has 70 billion for the construction of large transport structures, which he does not need yet. I think that Prague can afford to pay an unhealthy waste collection for citizens from the 70 billion crowns available at the moment, he said.
