The insolvent confectionery manufacturer Salzburg Schokolade, headquartered in Grödig and known for the Mirabell Mozartkugeln, will be continued for the time being. This was decided on Monday as part of a fact sheet, as confirmed by KSV1870.
“For this war the restoration of solvency is necessary. The debtor succeeded in doing this with the support of a renowned Austrian, local bank. The continued operation was assessed as economically valuable for all competent actors, including the believers represented by our association. If an immediate closure are ordered, the default for creditors would be far higher than a continuation far higher for the next four weeks“, States the KSV1870.
“For this purpose, rationalization measures will have to be implemented in the company. It remains to be seen whether work organization measures are also to be introduced,” says Aliki Bellou from KSV1870. “A redevelopment with support from a third party, probably with the help of an investor, appears to be realistic from today’s perspective, subject to any procedural innovations.”
