It became clear when the government presented its new list of measures on Monday 13 December. The exception is the REMA 1000 league for both sexes, which comes under the concept of top sports. It can still be played as planned, but with stronger audience restrictions than before.
NOTE! The NM finals, which are scheduled for December 29, are also defined as top sports in this context. The Norwegian Handball Association will shortly return with more information on how the NM finals will be conducted.
For all other classes, tournaments and series, there will be a cessation of combat activity with immediate effect, lasting until 11 January. What this further means for the match offer in the last half of the season, the Norwegian Handball Association will return to. Here, the central management will handle the national match offer, while the individual region manages the regional offer.
Exercise activity is also affected. The Norwegian Handball Association is in dialogue with the appropriate bodies to obtain clarification of what the new changes will happen when for Handball-Norway, and will communicate this we have received confirmed information.
In the meantime, we refer to the article published by the Norwegian Sports Confederation Monday night, where it appears what the government’s latest list of measures means for sports in general.
