Spain, like Slovakia, has gone through hell. Enjoying now (HN report)
Two countries, the same virus, but different measures and consequences. At the beginning of this year, Spain was the fourth most affected country in the Union in terms of the number of coronavirus victims.
The government imposed a hard lockdown and the population literally craved the vaccine. The cabinet did not disdain Russian Sputnik either. Currently, 81 percent of the population have been fully vaccinated. And despite the fact that omicron is spreading there alongside the delta, people with covid fit there currently enjoying a relatively comfortable life.
Slovakia was on the same starting line. During the second wave in our country this year, the number of deaths on the corona even reached global records. However, after the initial vaccine trick, the pace stopped. And now we are one of the weakest protected countries with a 43 percent two-dose vaccination.
The current differences between life in Slovakia and Spain also derive from this. HN were about to see for themselves when we left “lockdown” Bratislava to relaxed Valencia last weekend.
