Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko assessed the threats to Russians who have contracted the omicron strain of COVID-19. He spoke about this during an interview with Naila Asker-zade on the Russia 1 TV channel, reports RIA News…
According to him, all patients are now receiving minimal therapy, their condition is stable. The head of the department notes that at the moment there is no threat to either the life or the aggravation of the condition of the sick. It is recognized among those infected by many people who are immune to this variant of the coronavirus. Against this background, the disease is either asymptomatic or with minor clinical manifestations, the minister added.
During an interview, Murashko also assessed the incidence of coronavirus in the country. According to him, the incidence of COVID-19 has stabilized and began to decline slightly. At the same time, the number of sick Russians remains large.

The minister added that more than 75 million people were vaccinated with the first component of the coronavirus vaccine in Russia, noting this “good numbers.”
Are vaccines effective?
The head of the Ministry of Health said that testing the effectiveness of vaccines against the omicron strain of coronavirus in total can take up to three weeks. The composition minister noted that the work plan on this issue, the work is underway. According to him, specialists will have to conduct a fairly large number of studies, including with the plasma of already vaccinated Russians. This is necessary in order to determine the characteristics of the behavior of the virus and understand the different titles, Murashko explained.
