Eurowings canceled the first lines from Prague, according to the carrier, the traffic is as expected
Plans for the third plane in Prague continue, the route to Rome begins on Christmas Day.
Eurowings airline is hampering its expansion plans in Prague. Just a few weeks after the start of the new base at Václav Havel Airport, two routes disappeared from the reservation system: to Tel Aviv and Zagreb.
While in the case of Tel Aviv it was mainly a response to the new restrictions on entry, in the case of Croatia the line came at a time when it was possible to travel to the country without major problems.
“We had to temporarily suspend the route from Prague to Zagreb due to the current situation associated with Covid-19. We are monitoring and evaluating the situation very closely, we hope that we will soon be able to restore the line again. “ Eurowings spokeswoman Laura Karsten said. Actually, the Eurowings line from Prague to Zagreb is not in the system at all, only with a transfer.
According to the spokesman, the first month of operation of the lines from Prague took place “Overall very good”. “It met our expectations, given the current circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic,” she added. According to her, the best-selling routes are to Copenhagen, Barcelona, Milan, Malaga and Tenerife.
Eurowings started operating its base in Prague at the end of October, so far they have two aircraft in Prague. The third will be added from the summer flight schedule. The new carriers will start flying to Alicante, Valencia and Mallorca from the end of March. I will add flights to Rome later this Christmas. At the end of March, it will launch a connection to Faro in the Portuguese region of the Algarve. The flight schedule will also include a connection to Larnaca in Cyprus. The offer of connections to Greece (so far Athens) will be expanded by a line to Corfu and Crete. In March, Eurowings will start flying to Stockholm.
