Tábor hockey organized its tenth charity event as part of a duel with Kobra
Saturday’s second league match between the hockey players of Tábor and Kobra Prague (3: 1) really had a festive atmosphere. The Tábor club chose the duel of the teams of the Jih group table as the scenery for the traditional charity event, which it always organizes in the run-up to Christmas.

The first of these events took place eleven years ago, and since last year’s championship year was ruthlessly stopped by the covid patalia, it carried a touch of the jubilee this year.
This time, members of a broad hockey family from Jordan are participating in the support of five-year-old Tánička Bosáková.
A five-year-old girl with a severe congenital disability and the need for twenty-four-hour care has undergone several surgeries at her age and has gone through the associated complications. Parents spend a lot of money on its development and improving their health. They are currently looking for funds for a special pram (benecycle), which would make it very easy for them to take care of Tánička. It has already grown from the original and needs a larger size, but unfortunately health insurance companies do not include this aid.
The organizers of Saturday’s charity event with a hockey heart did not want the current covid measures, which limited the attendance of Saturday’s hit to a maximum of 1,000 spectators. With the current results and performances of the home team and the quality of the competition, a higher number of hockey fans would certainly come to the stadium. Despite this, they could say after the collection: it worked!
During the break between the second and third thirds, HC Tábor’s parents accepted a check for 33,168 crowns from HC Tábor officials, while this amount grew to 34,968 crowns after further contributions. Fans who could throw any amount into the box in the hands of a member of the women’s team HC Mamby, as well as players of the A-team, junior team and junior HC Tábor, took part in it at the entrance to the stadium.
The remaining 7,000 crowns went to Tánička from the operators of the club Fanshop. They organized an auction of a special edition of Christmas jerseys, in which domestic roosters entered the match, as well as the traditional sale of Christmas mugs.
“Thank you to everyone who participates in our event,” says the soul of the charity evening and a member of the club’s board of directors Pavel Kratochvíl. “This year’s event was the tenth and we are very happy that people accepted it in this way and took it for granted. Our club supports partners, and we try to help those who need it. If it only works out a little bit, we will continue to do so, “promised Pavel Kratochvíl.
